This is Apaarjeet Chopra’s Resume. I live in Cape Cod, Massachusetts and am the Art Director at Cape.com.
I have 14 years of real world experience, I’ve done print and illustration since I graduated in 1993, I was first published in 1994, by the Times of India and did my first website in 1995 for The Economic Times of India, the second newspaper online out of India. I’ve done websites since the web appeared and print even longer, and I still work in both mediums having lost none of my love for either. Notable clients other than the above have included, The Smithsonian Institute, The Nobel Museum, Macworld, My Jewish Learning, Harper Collins Publishers and Business Today Magazine.

Responsible for all front end design, markup and project management for cape.com clients. Additionally responsible for capecom’s internal web requirements, web application user interface development as well as all marketing, print and multimedia advertising.

Responsible for all aspects of front end design from conception through execution for MMI. This involved working closely with project managers, programmers and clients to provide cohesive targeted solutions.
Duties Included:
Creation of preliminary original designs to be presented to the clients. Fine tuning of selected designs to creation of final approved design. Production graphics for approved designs. All related print materials, and/or corporate identity creation based on clients needs. Continued front end maintainence of a large number of client sites. Coordination of all front end design requirements for all projects between programmers, project managers and clients. The projects varied over the three years from complete website solutions to targeted interactive applications. Some notable examples are Jazz Singers Radio website for Smithsonian Productions, the MacWorldExpo sites for NY 2000 & SF 2001 shows, eLearning interactive applications for WriteTrain and My Jewish Learning.

June 1998 – August 1999
The earliest online retailer in India, with no physical stores. The sites have been successful from the start and continue to thrive. Both sites are Ecommerce enabled and accept online credit cards. Duties included complete planning and creation of both websites. All web graphics were created by me, including all Html coding, Implementation of forms, javascript and credit card functionality. Marketing of the site which included the implementation of an Affiliate program, Links section and Search Engine positioning and targeted Newsletters.

Creation of India’s first Business Newspaper on the Internet.

Coordination and implementation of all design elements and aspects pertaining to a daily business newspaper on the Internet. Creation of template pages to facilitate informational changes on a daily basis. Creation of template graphics so additional pages could be added as desired.
Aug 1994 - Dec 1995
The leading national business daily in India. Creation of original illustrations for the cover page and the middle section of the Investor’s Guide since it’s relaunch on the 15th of Aug. ‘94. This was continued on a weekly basis till the 4th of Dec.’95.
