Sunflowers and Self-Portraits
Tuesday, January 29th, 2008
I found this play on Van Gogh’s style below at Pizdaus, which is a fun site for interesting pictures of all sorts.
I have no idea where it comes from, what context it was made in or for. It’s just such a great image, I had to share…

Thursday, January 24th, 2008
Here’s a great find, 6000 free vectors of Car outlines in Adobe Illustrator format.

Bit of a hefty download but well worth it, you never know when they’ll come in handy.
Here’s the direct download link and here’s the blog I found them on: http://garcya.us/blog/.
There’s a ton of other vector stuff on that site as well for free.

My favorite saying is a Chinese Curse, hah!
Monday, December 31st, 2007
May you live in interesting times.
Has been my favorite saying for many years now. I always thought of it as having a positive connotation. It described to me a feeling I always had about myself and how I wanted my life to be.
I was reading this article “The great fall of China” by Walter Russell Mead , which I do recommend if you have any interest in global economics and power. He ends the article with this line: “Maybe the old Chinese curse says it best: We seem to be headed for interesting times.”
Which led to the Wikipedia search and voila , such is the case!
And here’s to 2008, cheers! The image is from the wonderful NYPL Digital Gallery
